CAN I VOLUNTEER AT BROOKLYN GRANGE?
We don’t offer volunteerships or apprenticeships but if you're looking to engage in community service beyond our Community Field Days during our monthly Sunday Open House, check out one of the awesome non-profit farms in our community: East New York Farms!, Bed Stuy Farm or Red Hook Farms. Additionally, the Campaign Against Hunger has urban farms both in BedStuy, Brooklyn and Far Rockaway, Queens - they are looking for volunteers to help with everything from planting to harvesting to aid in their fight for food justice. Please contact Miriam Ehrlich at mehrlich@tcahnyc.org for more information. Based in Manhattan? Loisaida United Neighborhood Gardens (LUNGS) is a network of 50 community gardens on the Lower East Side that frequently needs volunteers for a variety of projects through the season for everything from basic gardening to carpentry. Email them for more info at info@LUNGSNYC.Org!
