CITY GROWERS PRESENTS: SWEET ON SUMMER

  • Brooklyn Grange at Sunset Park 850 3rd Avenue Brooklyn, New York 11232 United States (map)

🍅 SWEET ON SUMMER: A BENEFIT FOR CITY GROWERS 🍅

Please join us on June 13 for Sweet on Summer, a benefit for City Growers.

City Growers makes use of nontraditional urban spaces to teach young people about food, health, and the natural world, cultivating a deep sense of connection and stewardship for our planet. With a focus on pollination and the urban ecosystem, the Brooklyn-based nonprofit’s programming is built around equity, justice, and empowering the next generation of environmental leaders.

The annual Sweet on Summer event raises vital funds that fuel City Growers’ programs and the educators behind them. Join us on Brooklyn Grange’s rooftop farm in Sunset Park for an unforgettable dinner that features the bounty of the rooftop!

About City Growers:

City Growers is a youth development nonprofit that uses urban agriculture to engage youth in experiential learning, nurturing a life-long relationship to food, their health, and the natural world.

City Growers recognizing that green space is not distributed equitably in NYC, we operate nature-based programming on Brooklyn Grange Rooftop Farm roofs, schools, parks and nontraditional green spaces that dot New York City to show youth the importance of urban ecology. We reach over 4,000 youth a year and 80% receive either free or highly subsidized education, and all our teen program participants are paid an hourly wage.
