We'll gather for this dinner at our Brooklyn Navy Yard farm.
Fall is our favorite time of the year: the fields still provide a bounty of delicious, beautiful crops just as the daily demands of the farm ease up enough for us to enjoy the fruits of our labor. We can’t wait to trade in 100F real feels for flannel shirts, and celebrate a season’s work over big shared plates of plant-forward food. We’re calling this dinner Farmily Meal, our take on the restaurant tradition of staff eating supper together before their shift begins. And, we’ve tapped our dear friends at Pheasant–formerly one of Williamsburg’s best and most popular restaurants, and now only available for special events. And to ensure that this dinner will be as special as they get, we’ve tapped other industry pals from She Wolf Bakery to Tivoli Mushrooms and Grimm Ales.
For you industry folx who are off on Wednesdays (or those who can skate out of work a little early) don’t miss our VIP hour, with a special farm-to-glass offering hand crafted by restaurant veteran Beverage Manager Anna, and a Founder’s Tour from Anastasia!
But this event isn’t about looking behind us–thanks to the generosity of our mates over at the Australian workwear boot brand, Blundstone, 100% of the profits will go straight to next year’s sliding scale CSA so no members need be turned away for lack of financial access. That means you get to swan around the farm and sup on the best local food and drink all while contributing to a more equitable food system in your community.
Dinner will start with a cocktail hour during which guests can sip on a late season inspired garden-to-glass cocktail while watching the sunset over our stunning Manhattan skyline view. We'll then move on to a family-style dinner (our favorite dining experience) for the rest of the evening. VIP Guests will arrive on the farm at 5:00pm for a private guided tour led by co-founder Anastasia Cole Plakias and a private cocktail hour with a beautifully gleaned cocktail curated by the farms beverage manager!

This dinner series is our way of celebrating our farmers, the talent of our favorite NYC chefs and local makers, and our love for food, community, and environmental sustainability. Growing food is a major part of our operation at Brooklyn Grange but our favorite part of what we do is being able to commune with you on our roofs!
