As summer fades and fall begins, we'd like to take a moment to pause, reflect on the season, and offer gratitude to MONA and all her creatures. MONA, our heartfelt moniker for MOther NAture.
New York State is home to more than 450 wild pollinator species. They are responsible for pollinating most of our commercial crops AND maintaining the biodiversity of our environment. Quite a feat, but between climate change and poor agricultural practices, these beautiful insects and birds are at risk. So we felt it was important to highlight NY's living landscape and the symbiotic relationship that exists between pollinators and the local ecology.
We'd like to tell this story by doing what we do best: gathering people around the table for a meal with a message.
We couldn’t pull this one off alone, so we’re bringing in the pros to show us how to live off the land and transform the unexpected into something botanically delicious! This year, we’ve invited five different NYC based chefs to take on five different pollination inspired courses. Your plate will overflow with the local flora and fauna of the ecosystem these creatures support, and in turn, supports them. So come raise a glass as we toast the magic of pollinators — they bring what we eat to life!

ABOUT FARM DINNER SERIES:
This dinner series is our way of celebrating our farmers, the talent of our favorite NYC chefs and local makers, and our love for food, community, and environmental sustainability. Growing food is a major part of our operation at Brooklyn Grange but our favorite part of what we do is being able to commune with you on our roofs! We invite you to gather, eat and learn with us at one of our four dinners: Veggiepalooza, a multi-course vegetarian feast, Sky High Tomato Dinner, an ode to our favorite nightshade, the Compost Dinner, a food waste focused and thought-provoking dining experience, and Pollinate Your Plate, a dinner, and love letter, highlighting the living landscape of our city!
