NYC PASSES THE CLIMATE MOBILIZATION ACT

New York - (April 23, 2019): We are so proud and excited to share this news! If you haven't heard, last week the NYC City Council passed the Climate Mobilization Act, a landmark new package of legislation that promises to propel our city into a cleaner and greener future. Along with new laws that will help move the city towards renewable energy sources, the Act promotes the construction of green roofs on new buildings and major renovations, recognizing that green roofs yield a host of benefits for the City's air quality, waterways, and wildlife (not to mention the boost they give to human happiness). We are grateful for the many advocates who’ve paved the way for these efforts, and for the council members who took the time to hear us bear witness to how the green roofs and landscapes we’ve built have already improved our urban ecosystem. We're looking forward to the many green roof projects that are sure to come about as a result of this new legislation. If you want to get ahead of the curve, reach out about having a green roof installed on your building.
